Basic courses

Our club organizes online Finnish language lessons at all levels from zero to C1.

We conduct one-time webinars, short marathons, exam preparation courses, as well as basic courses.

The basic courses are full-fledged Finnish language training with experienced university-level teachers. They include grammar, vocabulary, phonetics and conversational practice.

The course duration is 12 months. During this time, the group manages to complete 1 level (from A1.1 to A2.1, for example).

Training schedule

Courses from scratch, A0, start with us almost every month.

We are currently recruiting for the initial course in November 2024: classes on Tuesdays and Sundays from 19:00 to 20:00 (Helsinki time). Teacher Victoria. Classes are based on the textbook Suomen mestari 1 uusi.

Other levels usually start either in September or January. It is also possible to join the main course in the middle of the year if there are free places in the group.

In the basic course, classes are held twice a week for 60 minutes.

There are 6 to 10 students in a group. There are never more than 10, because our goal is for everyone to have the opportunity to speak in every lesson.

How the training is organized

Groups are studying online via Zoom.

Missed lessons are not rescheduled or refunded.

We record classes and store them for 1-2 weeks – if you miss a class, you must watch the recording and do your homework to keep up with the group.

Homework is posted in the Telegram chat, where you can also ask the teacher questions.

If your schedule at work/other personal reasons/ have changed, we can transfer you to another group while keeping the remaining classes on your subscription.

We issue a certificate of hours attended and course level (only for general courses, provided that you have studied for at least 6 months).

Cost and payment options

The very first group lesson from scratch is free.

Trial lesson in any group - 5 euros.

Subscription 2 times a week for a month - 88 euros.

Subscription twice a week for a year - 720 euros (saving 336 euros).
